Hello and Welcome!
I'm DeAnna Billings and I have been passionate about healing touch my whole life and a Medical Massage Therapist for 18 years. I graduated from Body Mechanics School of Myotherapy in Washington State where the focus was on intensive injury treatment.
My school was actually in a hospital!
I hold certifications and experience in many complimentary healing modalities. My specialty and passion is working on the neck and thoracic, with subscapularis focus in relation to injury treatment. This focus lead me to develop effective specialty techniques for treatment of the neck and shoulder and create my class Neck Knowledge. I have an intraoral endorsement that allows me to work inside the mouth, enabling me to work with conditions of the neck at an even deeper level.
My externship for graduation was on children with autism and sensory issues and what we now refer to as neurodivergent conditions. This lead me to study Somatic Massage and the study of trauma and it's effects on the body. I help people who have been the victims of violent crime, abuse and trauma.
I owned and operated a successful wellness center in Olympia Washington for many years. I now am blessed
to be able to pass this experience on through my classes and help others in creating profitable passion based businesses of their own!
I hold additional certification in complimentary modalities like EFT, Kinesio Tape, Hot Stone, Pregnancy, Meditation and Breathwork, Sound Healing and Nutritional Therapy.
This training helps me be a well rounded therapist that treats each person as an individual.
I find that when people feel heard and understood and are partners with you in their own treatment it leads
to substantially better healing outcomes.
As an herbalist I often make salves and balms that further healing and recovery and love the study of essential oils and plant medicine for many of the somatic conditions that people live with on a daily basis.
I love teaching and helping others to expand their knowledge in ways that help them be not only a better massage therapist for their clients, but for themselves and their loved ones too!
